Lange Zeit fand ich es erstaunlich, dass Playmobil^® zwar für Bären, Pandas, Tiger, Panther, Elefanten, Giraffen, ja sogar Einhörner Jungtiere bzw. Welpen/Fohlen/etc. gemacht hat, nicht jedoch für Zebras. Dabei lässt sich doch mit einer anderen Grundfarbe¹ und entsprechender Bedruckung² ganz einfach aus einem Pferdefohlen ein junges Zebra machen (anlog zu dem weißen Tigerwelpen, welches aus der Form eines Löwenwelpen hervorgingen).
Schließlich brachte Playmobil^® im Spätsommer 2006 mit dem Safari-Set 4081 ein offizielles Zebrafohlen (30 63 4562) heraus.

Long time it was astonishing to me that Playmobil^® has produced cubs respectively young animals/foals/etc. for bears, pandas, tigers, panthers, elephants, giraffes, and yes even for unicorns, but not for zebras. And this although there is a mould available which can be used with another base color¹ and some additional imprints² for a young zebra: the foal (analogous to the white tiger cub, which has been derived from the lion cub).
With the safari set 4081 introduced in late summer 2006 Playmobil^® finally made it and launched an official zebra foal (30 63 4562).
